Seattle Mariners and veteran catcher Mitch Garver have agreed to a minor league contract, as reported by ESPN's Jeff Passan. The 35-year-old, a two-time All-Star and 2019 Silver Slugger winner, will compete with Andrew Knizner and Jhonny Pereda to back up Cal Raleigh, the AL MVP runner-up.

Garver, who batted .187 with 24 homers and 81 RBIs in Seattle over two seasons, brings 106 career home runs and a World Series ring from his 2023 Texas Rangers title run. His .233 career average and 309 RBIs across nine MLB seasons add depth to the Mariners' catching corps.
