Charlotte Hornets second-year guard Kon Knueppel exited his season debut after just six minutes due to left leg soreness. The injury flared during Wednesday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets, dashing hopes for a quick return from a hamstring issue that sidelined him all preseason and the first eight regular season games. Knueppel, who established himself as a rookie building block by leading the league in 3-pointers, watched from the bench as the Hornets fell to the Nets.
His absence highlights the team's ongoing injury woes, coming one game after Coby White's own season debut following a calf issue.
