Randy Arozarena’s three‑run homer helped the Seattle Mariners beat the Tampa Bay Rays 8‑2, snapping a five‑game skid. Emerson Hancock’s first pitch to Yandy Diaz was a 107.2‑mph one‑hopper that bruised his hand. X‑rays were negative, but he left the game after a two‑out walk, saying the finger was too sore to risk a hindrance.

Hancock stayed in the game through the first inning, retiring Jonathan Aranda and striking out Junior Caminero. He finished after 19 pitches, citing the bruised finger as the reason. Jose Ferrer took over, ending the inning and striking out two in a scoreless third. Four relievers followed, with Andres Munoz closing the game in the ninth.

Seattle’s offense was strong: Victor Robles’ sac fly, J.P. Crawford’s two‑run double, and Weston Wilson’s solo homer gave a 3‑0 lead. Arozarena’s 11th homer capped a 7‑0 rally. The Rays added a 14th homer by Aranda in the eighth.

The win improves Seattle’s record to 48‑49 while Tampa Bay remains 57‑37, the best in the AL heading into the All‑Star Game.
