Los Angeles shifted right‑hander Tyler Glasnow to the 60-day injured list on Saturday, confirming that his lingering back problem has derailed the planned rehab. The 32‑year‑old made his last appearance on May 8, two days after a back spasm forced him out. What began as a short‑term setback now looks like a month‑long absence.

Manager Dave Roberts said Glasnow still isn’t cleared for a throwing program, noting the body won’t cooperate despite the pitcher’s desire to work. The earliest the veteran could return is July 6. To fill the roster spot, the Dodgers promoted right‑hander Nick Frasso, who posted a 0‑0 record with a 4.85 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 13 innings this season.

Frasso, 27, will remain at Triple‑A Oklahoma City for now, having logged a 6‑1 record and 5.49 ERA in 43 games last year. His addition gives Los Angeles a fresh arm but does little to alleviate the rotation strain caused by Glasnow’s absence. The Dodgers must lean on their bullpen as the West race tightens.

With the rotation now down to four reliable starters, the Dodgers’ front office faces pressure to either accelerate a trade for depth or rely on emerging talent from their farm system. As the June schedule intensifies, every game will test the club’s ability to maintain its position near the top of the NL West without Glasnow’s veteran presence.
