Houston Astros shortstop Jeremy Peña was back in the lineup for Monday's game against the Miami Marlins after experiencing a right hamstring cramp. He had missed Sunday's game and left Saturday's contest early. First baseman Christian Walker was out of the starting lineup for the second consecutive game due to right hip tightness, though manager Joe Espada expressed optimism for his return soon.

Peña is hitting .295 with six home runs and 22 RBIs this season, but has been limited to 53 games due to two stints on the injured list. Walker, meanwhile, has a .234 batting average with 20 home runs and 58 RBIs. The Astros also made several roster moves, reinstating right-hander Ronel Blanco and left-hander Bennett Sousa from the 60-day injured list.

Blanco will start Monday's game, returning 13 months after Tommy John surgery. He had a promising season in 2024. Sousa, who was sidelined with left elbow inflammation since May 6, also returns to the bullpen. Left-hander Bryan King and infielder Raynel Delgado were optioned to Triple-A.
