Tiger Woods has not ruled out a return to professional golf at this year's Masters Tournament in April, the 15-time major champion said Tuesday. The 50-year-old underwent lumbar disc replacement surgery in October and ruptured his Achilles last March, keeping him sidelined since the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon.

Woods, who is hosting this week's Genesis Invitational, said his Achilles is no longer a problem and he can now hit full golf shots. However, the aftermath of the disc replacement surgery has been more challenging. "It's just sore. It takes time," Woods said, noting that fellow golfer Will Zalatoris faced a similar recovery timeline.

While Woods has previously dismissed playing while riding in a cart on the PGA Tour, he said he would consider it on the Champions Tour where he's now eligible. The golf legend is also weighing a potential role as Ryder Cup captain for Team USA at Adare Manor in 2027, though he hasn't made a final decision while focusing on reshaping the PGA Tour's future format and schedule.
