South Carolina DE Dylan Stewart has been suspended indefinitely after throwing a punch at Alabama TE Josh Ford during Saturday night's loss to the Crimson Tide. Gamecocks coach Shane Beamer announced the suspension during a Sunday news conference, calling the incident 'unacceptable' and stating, 'That's not how we do things around here.' Stewart was penalized for the punch to Ford's helmet and later argued with coaches. The junior edge rusher, a former freshman All-American and All-SEC selection, was projected by ESPN NFL draft expert Jordan Reid to be selected in the top 10.

Stewart had missed most of the offseason and multiple games recovering from a back injury.
