Former Michigan coach Sherrone Moore appeared in court Thursday for the first time since his arrest. He faces three charges, including felony home invasion and stalking, related to an incident with a former football staff member. Moore has pleaded not guilty and must wear a tracking device while free on bail.

Moore was fired from the Michigan Wolverines in December after a university investigation into his relationship with the woman. The charges stem from an alleged visit to her apartment where authorities say he blamed her for his job loss and made threats. His attorney filed a motion to quash the arrest warrant.

The case is now scheduled for a key hearing on February 17. A probable-cause hearing is set for March 19. Moore’s legal troubles follow a tumultuous period for the program, which recently hired Kyle Whittingham as its new head coach.
