After the Phoenix Mercury's 88-85 loss to the Portland Fire, Diana Taurasi reflected on her Hall of Fame career during a jersey retirement ceremony. She said the night felt like "the end and the beginning of so many things."

Her No. 3 jersey was raised at Mortgage Matchup Center after 20 seasons with one team. The ceremony included tributes from legends like Sue Bird, Lisa Leslie, Dawn Staley, A'ja Wilson, Paige Bueckers, Breanna Stewart, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James. Twenty former teammates each presented a white rose.

Taurasi thanked trainers, coaches, management including Vince Kozar, Nate Tibbetts, Nick U'Ren, and family. She emotionally honored her parents Mario and Lili, immigrants from Argentina, and wife Penny Taylor and kids Leo and Isla.

The event featured goats, commemorative shirts, and attendees like Brittney Griner, Larry Fitzgerald, Sheryl Swoopes, and Devin Booker. Taurasi called it a celebration of her final chapter.
