Serbian forward Nikola Kusturica, a projected top NBA draft pick in 2028, has committed to UCLA on a multiyear agreement. The 6-foot-8 prospect is considered one of the top European talents in his age group and adds significant firepower to the Bruins' roster.

Kusturica, who turned 17 in April, demonstrated his prowess at the FIBA Under-17 World Cup in Türkiye, averaging 24.6 points and 6.9 rebounds and earning a spot on the All-Star Five. He also secured the Best Defensive Player award with 2.3 steals and 1.7 blocks per game. This follows his MVP performance at the FIBA U16 Euro Basket last summer, where he led Serbia to a gold medal.

His decision ends a recruitment process that saw interest from Kentucky and Michigan. Kusturica has been part of the FC Barcelona system since 2023, debuting for their first team at a record young age. He is expected to make an immediate impact alongside returning starters and four new transfers for UCLA, coached by Mick Cronin.
