Verstappen Signs Red Bull Extension Until 2030

Max Verstappen has signed a new long-term contract with Red Bull, extending his stay until at least the end of the 2030 Formula 1 season, when he will be 33 years old.

The Dutch driver's previous deal was set to expire at the end of 2028, with speculation linking him to McLaren for a potential 2027 switch. His management had held talks with McLaren earlier this year, but the new agreement ensures continuity at the top.

The news virtually guarantees no driver changes among the leading teams—Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, and Red Bull—for 2027. Verstappen, currently sixth in the Drivers' Championship and 110 points behind Kimi Antonelli ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix, expressed his happiness with the extension.

"I am really pleased with the contract extension. We have the best people and I'm excited to keep working together with everyone to get back to the top again," said Verstappen, who has won four World Championships with Red Bull since 2021.
