IndyCar officials threw a red flag during Saturday's practice for the inaugural Grand Prix of Arlington when three workers were spotted on the hot track. The incident occurred as cars were pulling out of the pit area at the temporary 2.73-mile, 14-turn circuit around AT&T Stadium and the Texas Rangers' ballpark.

No one was injured in the track breach, which caused a delay of several minutes while officials checked the course. Television footage showed the trio, appearing to be part of a catering crew, including one person pushing a catering cart between AT&T Stadium and a nearby hospitality area. The workers had apparently wandered onto the active circuit.

Practice resumed after the delay, with cars not yet reaching full speed when the incident was spotted. The safety stoppage highlights the challenges of street racing, where temporary circuits must be carefully managed to prevent unauthorized access. This inaugural event in Arlington continues Sunday with the race scheduled as planned.
