Azzi Fudd of the Dallas Wings became the first rookie to win the WNBA All‑Star 3‑point contest, scoring 30 points in the championship round Friday night. The No. 1 draft pick hit her first six shots in the final to find rhythm, edging Bridget Carleton of the Portland Fire, who had 29 points in the opening round but finished with 19. Fudd’s total matched Sabrina Ionescu’s winning number from last season.

Elena Delle Donne, Shakira Austin and high‑schooler Jezelle Banks led the Washington team to the Shooting Stars championship, scoring 31 points to edge Seattle’s three in the finals. Banks hit two 4‑point shots from just inside half‑court. Other 3‑point competitors included Atlanta’s Rhyne Howard (20), Golden State’s Janelle Salaun (19), Toronto’s Marina Mabrey (18) and Seattle’s Natisha Hiedeman (17).

The Shooting Stars competition was a two‑round, timed shooting contest with 70 seconds to score as many points as possible from seven locations, including a lay‑up and a 4‑pointer. Washington posted 35 points in the preliminaries, with Banks’ 4‑pointers helping them reach the final. Seattle finished as runner‑up with 24 points after missing all of the team’s 4‑point shots.

Under the new CBA, Fudd received $20,000 for winning the 3‑point contest, a prize roughly eight times last season’s amount. Aflac added extra money, giving Fudd $40,000, Carleton $30,000, and Howard $15,000. Each Shooting Stars winner earned $15,000 and other competitors $7,500. The event marked a return to a skills competition after previous All‑Star weekends.
