No. 1 draft pick Azzi Fudd will make her 3-point contest debut at WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago. She joins Atlanta's Rhyne Howard, Toronto's Marina Mabrey, Portland's Bridget Carleton, Seattle's Natisha Hiedeman, and Golden State's Janelle Salaun.

Fudd is the fourth rookie in WNBA history to compete, following Kelsey Mitchell, Howard, and Sonia Citron. No rookie has won the contest, with Howard reaching the finals in 2022. Howard and Mabrey are the only previous participants. Reigning champion Sabrina Ionescu, Caitlin Clark, and Kayla Mc Bride were invited but declined.

Mabrey leads the league with 82 3-pointers made and previously tied the WNBA single-game scoring record with 53 points. Howard has the second-most with 79. The contest features two rounds with racks at five locations, including a special "all money ball" rack and deeper "from the logo" shots worth three points. The top two scorers advance to the finals.
