Scottie Scheffler kicked off the FedEx Cup playoffs with a commanding eight-stroke victory at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, Tennessee. The world No. 1 now heads to the BMW Championship at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, where the top 30 finishers will advance to the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Those qualifiers will earn a two-year PGA Tour exemption and spots in next year's majors.

Rickie Fowler, currently 30th in FedEx Cup points, is the tournament's 'bubble boy.' A solid performance at Bellerive could secure his eighth Tour Championship appearance and lock in a 2027 Masters invitation. Fowler has shown resilience with consistent finishes, including a tie for 34th at the St. Jude Championship.

Other key players include Gary Woodland (31st), who needs a solo 48th-place finish or better to return to East Lake for the first time since 2019. Aaron Rai (37th), fresh off his shocking PGA Championship win, must finish 12th or better despite recent struggles with putting. Sungjae Im (40th) has surged with three straight top-15 finishes but needs an eighth-place finish to avoid missing the Tour Championship for the first time in his career.

Patrick Cantlay and Justin Thomas both sit at 43rd and 44th respectively, each needing a solo seventh-place finish or better to qualify. Their performances could also impact U.S. Presidents Cup team selection by captain Brandt Snedeker.
