Injury Bug Continues to Bite

The Oakland Athletics could for the remainder of the 2026 season after he suffered a torn meniscus. The New York Mets placed All-Star Juan Soto on the 10-day injured list with a Grade 2 left calf strain, expecting him to miss significant time. In another setback for the New York Yankees, All-Star outfielder Cody Bellinger was also placed on the IL with a left hamstring strain. The Texas Rangers have put third baseman Josh Jung on the 10-day injured list with a left calf strain, recalling Josh Smith from Triple-A. Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani as the team remains cautious after experiencing "a little bit of regression."
