Free Agency & Trades

Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan will become a free agent when the new league year begins next week, sources told ESPN. The Texans reached agreement with offensive tackle Trent Brown on a one-year extension worth up to $7 million. Meanwhile, the Bears have agreed to trade wide receiver DJ Moore to the Bills, sources said.

Veteran Moves & Releases

The Vikings are expected to release defensive tackle Jonathan Allen as they continue to whittle down their salary cap deficit. The Steelers are releasing veteran tight end Jonnu Smith, who arrived in Pittsburgh via trade last summer. The Patriots will release receiver Stefon Diggs after one season, saving cap space and putting the position back in question.

Player Updates

Browns star Myles Garrett was issued his ninth speeding ticket since entering the NFL in 2017 after being clocked at 94 mph in a 70 mph zone. Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he remains undecided on his playing status for next season despite the Steelers hiring Mike McCarthy, with whom he won a Super Bowl in Green Bay.

Team Outlooks

The Commanders are expected to be aggressive pursuing players at edge rusher, receiver and corner in free agency. The Bucs are waiting on two of their most impactful players in team history as their coach and GM open up in Indianapolis. The Chiefs traded away a player of McDuffie's caliber before going to three straight Super Bowls.
