South Africa's Casandra Alexander claimed victory at the weather-affected KPMG Women's Irish Open with a dominant wire-to-wire performance at The K Club in County Kildare. The Ladies European Tour's leading player finished 20-under par, three shots clear of runner-up Sara Kouskova of Czechia. Finland's Noora Komulainen finished a shot further back. Alexander birdied three of her first four holes on day one, shooting a course-record 63 at The K Club's Palmer South Course. She never looked back despite a wobble on the final day, where she dropped shots at her opening two holes before responding with three consecutive birdies to secure the win.

Leona Maguire finished as the leading Irish player in fourth place, five shots off the pace. Maguire, who started the final round seven shots adrift, featured a spectacular 63 earlier in the week with nine birdies and no dropped shots. She roused the home crowd on Sunday with four birdies in five holes, reaching 15 under par, but ultimately finished four shots behind the leader. Her result matched her best national open finish, previously achieved at Dromoland Castle in 2022. The week featured a record number of Irish participants, with nine professionals and seven amateurs competing. Maguire praised the fantastic crowds, noting the event was a success 'rain, hail or shine'.
