Glimpse Raises $35M to Automate Retail Deductions

Y Combinator graduate Glimpse has raised $35 million in Series A funding led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from 8VC and Y Combinator. The startup, founded by Purdue alumni Akash Raju, Anuj Mehta, and Kushal Negi, pivoted from an Airbnb product placement venture to focus on automating retail financial deduction processes.

Glimpse's platform uses AI agents to review deductions, flag invalid ones, and file disputes on behalf of retail brands. The founders discovered this pain point while exploring back-office operations during their initial startup's struggles. The company previously raised $10 million last year, now reclassified as a seed round, bringing total funding to $52 million.

The platform integrates with enterprise resource planning systems, promotion calendars, and retail portals to streamline what traditionally takes days into a more efficient process. Despite automation, Glimpse maintains human oversight for dispute resolution and quality assurance. The company serves over 200 retail brands including Suave and Chapstick, helping recover revenue lost to invalid deductions.
