London‑based Zellify closed a €3.1 million seed round, positioning the startup to help mobile developers bypass traditional app‑store commissions. The financing was led by the founder of e‑scooter firm Voi, whose backing signals confidence in alternative distribution models that could reshape revenue streams for app creators.

Investors see Zellify’s SDK as a lever for developers to own user acquisition, analytics and payment processing without surrendering a cut to Apple or Google. By cutting out the middle‑man, developers could retain up to 84 % of in‑app revenue, a figure that could pressure platform operators to reconsider fee structures.

The round also attracted several European venture funds, broadening the company’s network ahead of a planned beta launch later this year. With capital in hand, Zellify aims to roll out its toolkit to a handful of early adopters, potentially shifting bargaining power back to developers in a market long dominated by the two app‑store giants.
