The founders of Danish neobank Lunar have raised €8.2m in pre-seed funding to launch Repodo, an AI-native audit startup. The round, led by Hedosophia and Seed Capital, is the largest pre-seed in Denmark to date. Repodo aims to redesign statutory audit for SMEs by automating data collection, reconciliations, documentation, and transaction analysis while keeping qualified auditors responsible for professional judgement and final sign-off.

CEO Ken Villum Klausen said the idea came from his own frustrations at Lunar, where audit processes required heavy manual lifting. He left Lunar as CEO in May, alongside cofounders Peter Andreasen (former CFO, left 2025) and Joachim Strøjer Hansen (former CPO, left 2020). The fourth cofounder is auditor Anders Houmann.

Repodo now has a team of 20 and is an authorised audit firm. The company plans to capture market share in Denmark first, then expand across Europe, adapting to country-specific audit thresholds and ISA standards.
