Danish AI infrastructure startup Velatir has secured €5m in seed funding, co-led by Nordic VC Spintop Ventures and Danish VC Ugly Duckling Ventures. Existing investor Norrsken Evolve participated alongside new backers including Jan Oberhauser, CEO of n8n, and Thomas Visti, former CEO of Universal Robots. The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark also joined the round.

Founded in 2023 in Odense, Denmark, Velatir offers a platform helping businesses manage and scale employee use of AI tools across devices. CEO Michael Blicher Sørensen noted that while AI promised efficiency, many companies faced increased complexity and lack of clarity in tool deployment. Velatir aims to restore control and transparency for organizations navigating AI adoption.

The company reports 80,000 customers across 30,000 applications and devices in finance, manufacturing, marketing, and public sectors, growing 50-60% monthly. Clients span the Nordics, Netherlands, France, and UK. Velatir plans to expand across Europe, opening offices quarterly through December 2027, starting with Stockholm on October 1.

Targeting mid-market companies, Velatir serves organizations from 5 to 20,000 employees. Blicher Sørensen previously led security audits at Meta. The platform is built entirely on European-owned infrastructure, avoiding US hyperscalers like Amazon's Bedrock.
