KKR's Helix Digital Infrastructure has secured a $1bn commitment from six Samsung group companies, less than four months after the private equity firm launched the AI infrastructure platform. Samsung Electronics is investing $500m. Samsung C&T, Samsung SDS, Samsung SDI, Samsung Life Insurance, and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance are providing the remaining $500m.

The commitment builds on the more than $10bn that founding investors, including KKR, the Kuwait Investment Authority, Nvidia, and Vistra, pledged at launch. Total commitments now exceed $11bn. Adam Selipsky, Helix's co-founder and chief executive, called the deal "a strong vote of confidence in Helix's strategy".
