KKR has led a $90 million Series C funding round in Coder, a cloud-based development platform that integrates AI tools into enterprise workflows. The investment, joined by QRT and Uncork Capital, reflects growing demand for secure, standardized environments that help organizations build and deploy software more efficiently.

Coder enables enterprises to improve consistency, accelerate onboarding, and maintain control over development processes while incorporating AI-assisted coding tools. KKR Managing Director Ben Pederson noted that over 80% of enterprise developers now use or plan to use coding agents in their daily workflows, driving fundamental shifts in software development practices.

The funding will support platform innovation focused on enterprise AI workflows and governance capabilities, plus expansion across Europe, Asia, and North America. KKR has already deployed Coder internally for more than 500 engineers, reporting that the platform has fundamentally changed how the firm approaches software development. Coder has demonstrated strong market traction with 300% year-on-year bookings growth and increasing enterprise adoption.
