Rockpool Investments has backed the buyout of Industrial Door Systems (IDS), a UK-based technical engineering services business. Former Marlowe Fire and Security CEO Rob Flinn joins as chair. Manchester-based IDS maintains and repairs commercial and industrial access equipment, including roller shutters, doors, gates, barriers, and fire doors.

The company has just under 100 staff across three hubs in Manchester, the Midlands, and London. With Rockpool's backing, IDS will pursue a buy-and-build strategy to consolidate the fragmented UK access equipment market. CEO Claire Harrison leads the existing management team, joined by sales director Darren Clarke, finance director Euan Henderson, and operations manager Katie Willott.

IDS already has a pipeline of acquisition opportunities in active discussions. K3 Deal Advisory provided financial and tax due diligence, while Winston Taylor served as legal adviser. Cyber Due Dil, Consort Insurance, and Continuum handled organizational due diligence.

Hurst Corporate Finance and Browne Jacobson advised IDS and its shareholders.
