Audax Private Equity has sold Rensa Filtration, a leading U.S. private filtration firm, to AEA Investors’ Middle Market Private Equity team and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI). The transaction follows Audax’s initial investment in August 2022, after which Rensa completed ten acquisitions, expanded into new end markets and geographies, and opened two manufacturing facilities in Nevada and Illinois.

Rensa specializes in highly engineered, tight‑tolerance air filters for data centers, power generation, food processing, healthcare, life sciences, semiconductors, and other cleanroom environments. The firm also distributes filters and provides on‑site installation and testing. Audax’s partner Joe Rogers highlighted the founder and CEO Brandon Ost’s strategy to become a full‑lifecycle partner, enabling a broad proprietary product range for mission‑critical applications. Audax retains a minority stake and will continue supporting the business alongside AEA and BCI.

This exit marks the eighth realization for Audax’s flagship private equity strategy in 2026 and the tenth across its platform in the past 12 months, representing roughly $15bn in total transaction value.
