White Cap, a distributor of specialty construction supplies and safety products headquartered in Norcross, Georgia, has announced its intent to acquire Gierke Robinson Company Inc., a concrete distributor based in Davenport, Iowa.

Gierke Robinson serves concrete, paving, and general contractors across Eastern Iowa, Western Illinois, and Southwest Wisconsin. The company, founded in 1919, has long been a regional supplier of cement and related products.

White Cap operates approximately 575 branches across North America and is backed by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. The acquisition will expand White Cap’s footprint into the Midwest and strengthen its position in the concrete distribution market.

The deal underscores White Cap’s strategy to broaden its product portfolio and geographic reach, offering contractors a more comprehensive range of construction materials and safety solutions across the United States.
