Capital Machine, a Rotunda Capital Partners portfolio company, has acquired KC Robotics, a robotic systems integrator based in West Chester, Ohio, for undisclosed terms. The deal marks Capital Machine's first add-on since Rotunda partnered with the business in March 2025.
KC Robotics has spent more than 35 years designing, building and integrating custom automation for manufacturers across North America. Its work covers welding, cutting and finishing, material handling, machine tending, assembly and vision-guided cells. The company has in-house engineering, fabrication and robot programming capabilities, and holds integrator credentials with FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa Motoman, KUKA, Fronius, ESAB and Miller.
Capital Machine has distributed and serviced metal fabrication machinery since 1984. It sells and services press brakes, metal cutting machinery and robotic welders, operates showrooms in Tampa, Atlanta, Dallas, Indianapolis and Harrisburg, and provides field service across 22 states.
The acquisition shifts Capital Machine from equipment supplier to automation partner. Customers can now have a full system scoped, engineered and delivered by a single provider, rather than buying a machine and handing the automation work to a separate integrator. KC Robotics will keep its own name, with Kyle Carrier remaining at the helm, and its customers will retain their existing engineering and project management team while gaining access to Capital Machine's wider equipment portfolio and aftermarket service program.
