This marks VIP's 28th add-on acquisition since its founding in 2017, continuing the Mid-Atlantic eye care platform's aggressive expansion strategy. Frederick Eye Institute specializes in cataract surgery and lens implants.

VIP now operates 69 locations across the Mid-Atlantic region, positioning itself as a major consolidator in the ophthalmology market. The acquisition follows a pattern of strategic add-on purchases that have fueled VIP's growth since Gryphon's backing. No financial terms were disclosed for the Frederick Eye Institute deal.

The acquisition strengthens VIP's presence in Maryland and expands its surgical capabilities.
