Verdane has launched a £186 million bid for London-based fintech fund Augmentum Fintech, offering 111.0 pence per share. The acquisition represents a premium to Augmentum's recent trading price and values the company at approximately £185.7 million.

The offer price stands at a 27% premium to Augmentum's closing price of 87.4p on February 24. The fund's directors have unanimously recommended shareholders accept the deal, signaling confidence in the acquisition's strategic merits.

Verdane partner Moez Gharbi expressed optimism about the European fintech sector, highlighting growth potential. The firm has a proven track record, having completed over 60 portfolio acquisitions since 2003.

This acquisition strengthens Verdane's position in European fintech while providing Augmentum shareholders with an attractive exit. The deal reflects continued investor appetite for fintech assets despite broader market uncertainty.
