Star Mountain Capital has appointed George Zahringer as strategic portfolio partner, bringing over two decades of operational private equity expertise to the New York-based firm founded in 2010. Zahringer specializes in value creation strategies, including the development of first 100-day, 300-day and 1000-day operating plans that enhance portfolio company performance through targeted operational improvements.

Prior to joining Star Mountain, Zahringer served as co-founder and principal at AZ Private Ventures. Earlier in his career, he worked as a principal at NexPhase Capital, a middle-market private equity spin out of Moelis & Company. He also held positions at Aterian Investment Partners, demonstrating consistent experience in hands-on operational approaches to private equity investing across multiple firms.
