SE Capital, a Las Vegas-based private equity firm, has sold Sierra Platform, a residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services provider, to Redwood Services. The Memphis-based home services platform now oversees five partner companies and serves over 40,000 customers annually. RJ Magee, Sierra’s current leader, will join Redwood as senior vice president of operations, ensuring continuity in day-to-day management.

The transaction adds Sierra’s $100 million residential revenue milestone (achieved in 2025) to Redwood’s portfolio. Sierra’s expansion into Las Vegas and surrounding regions complements Redwood’s existing footprint, creating a more comprehensive service network. This deal underscores Redwood’s strategy to consolidate market share in the essential home services sector—HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services—amid growing demand for maintenance solutions.

SE Capital’s exit reflects a broader trend of private equity firms offloading non-core assets to specialized platforms. Redwood’s acquisition positions it to leverage Sierra’s local expertise in Las Vegas while scaling operations. The move signals confidence in the home services market’s resilience, particularly as demand for maintenance and repair services grows post-pandemic.
