Providence Equity Partners has agreed to sell ATG Entertainment, a UK-headquartered live entertainment company, to Mari, a Beverly Hills-based global events and experiences company. No financial terms were disclosed. When the deal closes, Mari and ATG will continue to operate as separate companies.

ATG operates 70 venues across the UK, the US, Germany, and Spain, including 7 on Broadway and ten in London’s West End. ATG is home to productions from “The Lion King” and “Wicked” to “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” Mari owns and operates a global portfolio of events and experiences including Frieze, Barrett-Jackson, the Miami Open, and the Hampton Court Palace and Blenheim Palace Festivals.

Andrew Tisdale, vice chairman at Providence Equity Partners, said, “We’ve been proud to partner with ATG over the past thirteen years... We believe ATG is exceptionally well positioned for its next chapter and that MARI is the right partner to build on that success.” The Raine Group and Moelis & Company acted as financial advisors to Mari; Lion Tree and Kirkland & Ellis LLP advised ATG and Providence, with Goldman Sachs, Jefferies and Barron International Group also serving as financial advisors.
