Pets are living longer due to increased owner investment and medical advances, driving demand for specialty and emergency veterinary care and attracting private equity investors, raising deal multiples according to CT Acquisitions. PE Hub rounded up seven investments from the last six months.

Great Point-backed Vetn Care acquired Holistic Veterinary Care in July, its sixth add-on since 2022. Warburg Pincus-backed Bond Vet merged with Small Door Veterinary, creating a combined 55 clinics across Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest markets with over 1,000 team members including 170 veterinarians. Warburg invested $170 million in Bond Vet in 2021.

Tractor Supply acquired VIP Petcare from Bansk Group-backed Pet IQ in May. Bansk took Pet IQ private for $1.5 billion in 2024. Axcel-backed Vetopia acquired four UK practices in May, bringing its portfolio to over 200 practices across nine countries. PE Hub predicts more deals in the segment ahead.
