Key Capital Partners (KCP) has agreed to acquire Sunseeker, the British luxury motor yachts brand founded in 1969, according to PE Hub. The deal, subject to customary regulatory approvals expected in coming weeks, marks a significant shift for the company. Sunseeker, based in Poole, Dorset, employs around 2,000 people and produces approximately 150 boats annually.

As part of this transition, interim CEO Scott Millar is stepping down, with Andrés Rubio taking over as permanent CEO. Rubio brings a 30-year track record in commercial leadership and business transformation across major markets. The acquisition positions KCP to expand its portfolio within the high-end leisure sector, though the lack of disclosed deal value leaves market implications partially obscured.
