Hellman & Friedman (H&F) has agreed to buy Hyve, a global B2B events platform, from Providence Equity Partners and Searchlight Capital Partners. Hyve reports EBITDA over $100 million and runs marquee events such as HLTH, Shoptalk, Bett, POSSIBLE, Manifest and the ASU+GSV Summit. The deal positions H&F to expand its presence in the live‑events sector.

Hyve has posted three straight years of double‑digit organic revenue growth, a metric that attracted H&F’s interest. Under H&F ownership, the company plans to launch internationally and pursue further acquisitions, leveraging its established brand portfolio. The transaction underscores the increasing appetite for specialized event platforms amid a shifting digital‑to‑physical event landscape in the global market.

Hyve’s acquisition feeds H&F’s strategy to dominate high‑growth event ecosystems, boosting its portfolio with proven brands that command premium sponsorships. The deal also signals Providence Equity Partners’ willingness to monetize a mature platform while Searchlight Capital Partners exits a long‑term holding. Investors will watch how H&F integrates Hyve’s operations to generate synergies and scale across regions in the global economy.
