Cap Vest created Curium in 2017 and recapitalized it in 2025 at a valuation of about $7 billion.

The company now plans to acquire Lantheus Holdings for roughly $8 bn, taking the 70‑year‑old firm private and merging it into a wholly‑owned Curium US subsidiary. Curium will pay Lantheus shareholders $102.50 per share in cash at closing, with an additional right to receive up to $12 per share if certain commercial milestones for Lantheus products are met by 2030.

The combined entity will produce isotopes and manufacture diagnostic imaging and radionuclide therapeutics, leveraging Curium’s 80+ manufacturing sites in more than 70 countries and Lantheus’s global presence in the United States, Canada, Europe and beyond. The deal will be financed through a mix of debt and equity and is expected to close in the first half of 2027.
