Curium announced that it will acquire Lantheus at $102.50 a share in cash, a 2.9% premium to Friday’s closing price of $99.64 and 8.5% above Lantheus’s May 21 close of $94.47.

The transaction is valued at $6.7B and is slated to close in the first half of 2027. It includes contingent value rights that could add up to $12 per share, bringing potential value to $114.50 a share.

Lantheus, with its financial advisers, evaluated multiple strategic options before agreeing to the offer. The company confirmed that it had received outreach from several third parties.

William Blair analysts said the deal represents an excellent outcome for Lantheus shareholders and that a rival bid is unlikely, as only a few companies possess the technical know‑how to absorb a radiodiagnostic firm.
