BV Investment Partners announced an investment in Thomas & Company, a Nashville-headquartered workforce compliance services provider. The lower middle-market PE firm is partnering with CEO Nate Kenney and the broader leadership team to support the company's next phase of growth.

Formed in 1994, Thomas & Company specializes in unemployment cost management, tax exposure management and verification services that help large enterprises reduce risk, improve efficiency and support workforce compliance. The service company has 200 employees using a proprietary records database, purpose-built platform and white-glove service model.

BV Investment Partners is a lower middle-market investment firm with over $7.8 billion of assets under management, targeting tech-enabled business services and solutions sectors. Houlihan Lokey served as financial adviser to Thomas & Company, with legal advice from McDermott Will & Schulte, while BV Investment was advised by Ropes & Gray.
