Ambienta’s Nordic water-infrastructure platform No Dig Alliance has acquired Horisonterra, a Swedish specialist in trenchless underground pipe installation, marking the platform’s fourth add-on since Ambienta took ownership in 2025. Horisonterra, based in Torsåker, employs 20 professionals using horizontal directional drilling to install underground pipes for infrastructure contractors and public authorities across Sweden. The company will become part of No Dig Alliance’s Riggtech business.

No Dig Alliance, acquired by Ambienta in 2025 through its Ambienta Mid Cap IV fund, has pursued a buy-and-build strategy to consolidate the historically fragmented Nordic underground water infrastructure market. The addition of Horisonterra expands the platform’s footprint in Sweden and adds capacity in a market Ambienta values at roughly €3 billion. Water leakage across the Nordic region still accounts for 18 to 30 percent of total supply, according to Ambienta, underscoring the scale of aging infrastructure in need of modernization.

Ambienta manages over €4 billion in assets across private equity, public markets and private credit, focusing on companies advancing resource efficiency and pollution control.
