Private Equity Dealmaking Heats Up

Nous Research is reportedly in discussions to secure fresh funding at a valuation of $1.5 billion, aiming to raise at least $75 million. The funding round is expected to be led by Robot Ventures, with substantial contributions from USV and other notable investors. Meanwhile, CAI Capital has successfully exited its investment in HVAC provider Custom Air, selling the company to Service Logic Holdings Canada. CAI Capital had previously expanded Custom Air's reach through five strategic add-on acquisitions over an eight-year period. In another significant move has merged with Small Door Veterinary. The combined entity will oversee more than 55 veterinary clinics across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest regions, with plans for further expansion.
