Apple locked in its WWDC 2026 keynote for June 8, with the conference running through June 12. Expect iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27 to debut, all centered on Apple Intelligence and AI features. Developer betas drop right after the keynote, with public releases following in September.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports iOS 27 will transform Siri into a full chatbot competing with ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. A dedicated Siri app will show past conversations in iMessage-style bubbles, with Dynamic Island integration showing a "Search or Ask" prompt. Google Gemini powers the assistant, though Apple reportedly avoids emphasizing that. Chats can auto-delete after 30 days, a year, or never.

Apple previewed new accessibility features using Apple Intelligence, including VoiceOver Image Explorer for detailed image descriptions, the Action button asking questions about what the camera sees with natural language follow-up, and Voice Control upgrades letting users describe on-screen elements in their own words. Automatic captions for personal videos arrive on-device.

The iPhone Ultra foldable reportedly faces a serious hinge reliability problem during trial production, per Weibo leaker Instant Digital. High-frequency open/close testing produces audible rattling, and the issue must be solved perfectly or progress stalls. Mass production pushed from June to August, with supply constraints expected if it launches in September.
