Apple's new OLED MacBook Pro models are slightly thinner and lighter than their mini-LED predecessors. The 16-inch OLED model features a 16.3-inch display, up from 16.2 inches, while the 14-inch retains its 14.2-inch screen. Both OLED models are about half a pound lighter and at least 0.02 inches thinner, thanks to OLED technology that eliminates the need for a backlight and integrates the touch sensor into the display panel.
The 14-inch OLED MacBook Pro weighs 3 pounds (Pro) or 3.1 pounds (Max), compared to 3.5 and 3.6 pounds for the mini-LED version. The 16-inch OLED weighs 4 pounds (Pro) or 4.1 pounds (Max), down from 4.6 and 4.7 pounds. Apple prices the OLED models $400 higher, with starting prices of $2,899 for the 14-inch and $3,399 for the 16-inch.
