Netflix is raising prices across all its streaming plans, with the most expensive Premium tier now costing $27 per month, up from $24.99. The Standard plan is increasing to $19.99 (up from $17.99), while the ad-supported tier rises to $8.99 (up from $7.99). Existing subscribers will see the changes roll out starting March 26, with a month's notice before the new rates apply.

Netflix cited the need to reinvest in content quality as the reason for the increases, stating it delivers more value to members. This marks the second price hike in a year for the service. The Standard plan now costs the same $20/month that Netflix charged for its former Premium tier in 2023, highlighting the premium tier's significant price jump. Subscribers can still watch on two devices in 1080p on Standard, while Premium offers 4K HDR streaming on up to four devices with spatial audio.

The price increases affect both new and existing subscribers, with new members encountering the higher rates immediately. Netflix's Premium plan now stands as the most expensive standalone streaming subscription option available.
