Apple’s next high‑end laptop promises the most substantial external changes CANCELLED since 2021. No renders exist, but reports outline a likely overhaul. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says the model will feature an OLED display(System) and a thinner chassis, aiming for the lightest Mac in the industry. The 14‑inch and 16‑inch MacBook Pro have stayed 0.61 inches thick for generations; a hybrid OLED panel removes a physical layer, making the new machine noticeably thinner and lighter.

The iconic notch will be replaced by a pill‑shaped hole‑punch camera, accommodating a Dynamic Island. Samsung Display is expected to supply 14.3‑inch and 16.3‑inch panels, slightly larger than current units, thus narrowing bezels. Apple will also add a reinforced hingeմտ to prevent wobble. HDMI, MagSafe, and SD slot remain, maintaining the 2021 redesign.

Gurman estimates the launch between late 2026 and early 2027, with the later window now more likely due to the global memory chip shortage.
