Google is aggressively integrating AI into its Chrome browser, aiming to keep pace with competitors like Microsoft Edge and Opera. Chrome's latest update also introduces Nano Banana integration, Google's AI image generator, allowing users to transform images directly within the browser using text prompts. However, the most compelling new feature is the "auto browse" capability, currently available to AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S. This agentic tool can handle complex, multi-step tasks.

"Auto browse" can manage tasks like researching prices, filling out forms, and scheduling appointments. It can even identify items in photos and add them to shopping carts, all while staying within a set budget. The feature also uses Chrome's password manager with user permission.
