Apple on Monday announced *Remnants*, an immersive horror film that will be released exclusively on the Vision Pro on Friday, October 16. The film uses the Apple Immersive Video format, a 3D video recorded in 8K resolution with a 180-degree field of view and Spatial Audio, designed to place viewers inside the story.
To promote the release, Apple shared a short video showing people reacting to the film while wearing the Vision Pro. The clip captures their responses as the experience unfolds, offering a glimpse of the unsettling atmosphere the film aims to create.
"Watch as they step inside Woldmere Castle and enter the unsettling world created by writer and director Ti West," said Apple. The castle setting and West's direction signal a horror project built around the immersive format's strengths, with the viewer positioned at the center of the action rather than watching from a distance.
The release continues Apple's push to build a library of content for its headset through the Apple Immersive brand. For Vision Pro owners, *Remnants* arrives as an exclusive title available only on the device, reflecting Apple's strategy of tying specialized video experiences directly to its hardware.
