Apple refreshed its free Developer app with a Liquid Glass makeover ahead of WWDC 2026. The new icon swaps the bland previous shape for a translucent “A” formed by a pencil, paintbrush and ruler, echoing older design cues while embracing the current glass aesthetic. This visual overhaul aligns the tool with the broader OS redesign trend.

Inside, Apple introduced a translucent navigation bar topped by a Liquid Glass slider and a dedicated search button. Users can now filter content by Unwatched, Bookmarked or Downloaded, and pin preferred topics for quicker access. Enrollment image capture received reliability tweaks, reducing failed scans during sign‑up.

Apple also added a pack of animated WWDC‑themed stickers for Messages, ranging from a 50th‑anniversary badge to a skull with an Apple eyepatch, a juice‑box icon, California poppies, and holographic “hello” and “WWDC 26” designs. The update arrives before the conference, where the app will stream the June 8 keynote and refresh session listings.

By unifying visual language and adding quick‑filter tools, the redesign aims to streamline daily workflows for the millions of developers who rely on the app for session videos, sample code and enrollment. Free on the App Store, the update readies the platform for the upcoming conference without altering core functionality.
