Apple will open its second Mumbai retail location, Apple Borivali, on Thursday, February 26, at 1 p.m. IST. The store is located in Sky City Mall in Borivali East, a large new shopping and entertainment complex near the Devipada Metro Station. This marks Apple's sixth store in India and continues the company's aggressive retail expansion in the country.

Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's senior vice president of Retail and People, said the company is "thrilled" to bring its retail experience to more Indian customers. The store will employ more than 70 team members who will offer services including Apple Trade In, flexible financing, safe data transfer, and Personal Setup. Like all Apple facilities, Apple Borivali operates on 100 percent renewable energy and is carbon neutral.

Apple has created special content to celebrate the opening, including an Apple Music playlist and decorative wallpapers for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The company's retail presence in India has grown rapidly since 2023, when it opened its first two stores in Mumbai and Delhi, followed by locations in Bengaluru, Pune, and Noida. India represents Apple's second-largest smartphone market globally, making this expansion strategically significant for the company's growth.
