Google announced several new features for Waze, including Gemini-powered enhancements for Conversational Reporting. Users can now suggest map updates, such as road closures or outdated addresses, via voice commands. These suggestions are sent to local map editors for verification and global rollout on iOS and Android.

Additionally, Gemini now helps users find specific locations through voice search, such as open coffee shops or the cheapest nearby gas stations. The app is also introducing a "less chatty" mode for voice prompts to minimize intrusions during music or podcast playback.

Other updates include a new Motorcycle Mode with two-wheeled shortcuts and more accurate ETAs. Finally, Waze will suggest routes based on previous trips to better understand hyperlocal traffic patterns. This optional setting is initially rolling out in countries including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, and the Philippines.
